International Student in TRNC laments: "Disappointed that I could not cross to South Cyprus"

I am very disappointed. Due to the news written about the border crossing, I attempted to get to the south side as I have never been, but was greatly dissatisfied as I was not allowed to enter the Greek side. As an international student living here I feel we are being deprived of the full cultural experience of the diversity of the island. I hope in the future these issues will truly be rectified on the ground not just for the benefit of the press or international community.

EDITOR'S NOTE: Border Crossing, for now, is primarily for EU Passport Holders, North Cyprus Citizens and other Approved Functionaries, including, but not limited to people that has been crossing before. What was removed was a lot of office/paper work that delays crossing at the borders.
