The most unwanted dog in the world finally finds new home after 14,000 rejections!


One of the most unwanted dogs in the world has finally found his forever home.

Rescue lurcher Jed has spent the last seven years — which is more than 50 in pooch terms — living at an English animal shelter, reports the BBC.

The playful pup had been rejected for adoption by a heartbreaking 14,000 potential owners.

But at last, he's been taken in by a couple who have vowed to make 2015 "as special as possible" for him.

''We are really looking forward to the future with Jed; after so long without a home we can't wait to make 2015 as special as possible for him," he added.

The Dogs Trust said it was thrilled that ''Britain's most overlooked dog'' had finally found a home.

"We are so delighted that Jed has finally found such a fantastic home after searching for so many years," said rehoming center assistant manager Beverley Watson.

"'He is such a character and we all became so attached to him in all the time he was with us, so it really is the best new year present we could ask for to see how happy he is with Ian and Elizabeth," she added.
