Happy belated Birthday to the legend Bob Marley. Now this is Love! [Watch Video]

Happy birthday to one of the most inspirational people to walk the earth. Even though he is not more around, his voice still lives on through his timeless music. His words and lyrics are ever inspiring and he was a true icon of good.

In 1976 two days to the "smile Jamaica concert" he got attacked and was shot. Reports say he got hit in the chest and arm. At first it was thought that the shooting was a politically inclined incident but it was later discovered that the motives where different. The concert still held and to everybody's surprise, just two days after he was shot, he climbed the stage and performed. After the concert Bob was asked why he took the risk to still climb on stage, knowing that his enemies could still get him. His answer is something we should all learn from. He said...

" The people who are trying to make the world worse aren't taking a day off, So why should I"

Today would have marked his 70th birthday. So I say a big happy birthday to Bob Marley. May your soul rest in peace.

Evil will never take a break. So if by any means you are doing good, no matter what form of good it is. Make sure you don't stop, do not take a break. Keep shining the light.

In an interview with Quartz about his father's birthday, Ziggy Marley, son of the late musician, said his father's message was more than just "love and pace and smoke weed."

"Bob was a revolutionary. He was a person who wanted social justice in a real sense, in a real physical sense," Ziggy Marley said. "There's a lot more to it than the whole, 'Bob Marley, love and peace and smoke weed.' That's not it at all. No. It's deep! It's all right for some people to pass it off as that. But it's much deeper. And the message is always relevant. 'Get up, stand up for your rights?' 'One love, one heart, let's get together and feel all right?' It's all still very relevant.”

Marley's family is working to bring marijuana into the mainstream. In November 2014, the Marley family joined a private equity firm to launch the first global consumer marijuana brand.

“Creative inspiration was everything for my father -- it was like breathing or life to him,” Marley’s daughter Cedella told HuffPost in an interview about the brand. “Every time he smoked, he was inspired and an open mind was the open door for his creative inspiration. He thought the herb was actually a gift.”
