Selfie From Space May Probably Be The Coolest Ever

An image posted on NASA's Facebook and Twitter accounts may be the coolest selfie ever. The image was taken by astronaut Butch Wilmore during his spacewalk with fellow astronaut Terry Virts.

If you look closely, you can see the reflection of Virts appear on Wilmore's visor.

The Twitter photo came with the message: #Selfie from space! #AstroButch from today's #spacewalk. @AstroTerry can be seen in the reflection of his visor.

While the pair took a moment to snap the epic selfie, the rest of the spacewalk was all business. The astronauts routed over 300 feet of cable as part of the ongoing International Space Station overhaul project. The complicated task was handled successfully, but there is much more work to be done.

According to the Associated Press, it was the first spacewalk for Virts, who arrived at the space station in late November.

The duo will venture outside the space station again on Wednesday, Feb. 25, to deploy two more cables and lubricate the end of the station's robotic arm.

The space selfie quickly went viral, generating nearly 45,000 likes by Sunday morning on NASA's Facebook page. The post was quickly taking off on Twitter as well, with over 3,000 retweets
