Line Exhibition opens at Art Rooms in Girne TRNC featuring Artworks and Videos.

Video and artworks were on show last night at Girne’s Art Rooms at The House with the 7pm opening of the Line Exhibition featuring six contemporary artists.

The show, curated by Basak Senova, offers Finnish landscape photography reworked by Ali Cherri and Greek Cypriot artist Maria Louzidou’s graffiti Siamese twins-themed depictions of the Cyprus problem.

Kazakh artist Almagul Menlibayeva’s video art contrasts the brutalised landscape of the Aral Sea with mythological narratives alongside geometric art by Benji Boyadgian or photgraphs by the exhibition organiser and artist Oya Yasarcan Silbery.

The show also features compositions of reworked drawings, caricatures and prints by Ceren Oykut and will run until Thursday, March 26, from midday until 10pm daily except Tuesdays.
