Scientific Research and Ethics Training Starts At Near East University [NEU]
The 45-hours training course and workshop themed “Scientific Research and Ethics Training” organized as an experimental study by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fezile Özdamlı, Head of Department of Computer and Teching Technologies of Atatürk Faculty of Education, and Tahir Tavukçu, specialist and PhD student, started at Near East University in coperation with the Office of Education and Shared Services of Ministry of National Education.
According to press info released by Press and Public Relations Directorate of Near East University, Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Uzunboylu, Dean of Atatürk Faculty of Education, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony of the training course and stated that the course would be given by Tahir Tavukçu under supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fezile Özdamlı. Over 80 teachers and MA/PhD students are attending to the course. Prof. Uzunboylu also mentioned about the digital scenarios and importance of ethics.
On the first day of the course, teachers and students were presented the rules and ethics that must be strictly obeyed while carrying out scientific research. During the course which will continue for 8 weeks, Ethical Rules For Scientific Research prepared by YÖK (HEC) and TUBITAK, unethical behaviours, correct spelling and formatting the references within the text and in references section, APA 6. standards will be presented through digital scenarios.
Successful participanst will be granted with participation certificates declaring their achievement at the end of the course.
