Cyprus International University [CIU] workshop on Computer Internet 'Addiction' held recently

Cyprus International University’s Center for Psychological Counseling and Guidance organized a workshop about computer and internet addiction. The event was attended by many students and topics discussed included types of addiction, the symptoms of internet addiction, and ways of fighting internet addiction.

The workshop continued as a question-answer session after an informative presentation on the contemporary societal problem of computer and internet addiction, and was conducted in English and Turkish on two dedicated days. The English workshop was administered by Psychologist and Expert in NLP Eylül Dirençay, while the Turkish workshop was administered by Expert Psychologist Çise Akün.

Students were also given an internet addiction test during the workshop, determining their levels of addiction.

Assisting students in realizing their academic, social and psychological potential since year 2000, the CIU Center for Psychological Counseling and Guidance aims to provide support to students in many topic areas concerning personal development and life at university.
