EMU Introduces New Programs for 2014-2015 Academic Year
Eastern Mediterranean University is inviting student applications for Education Faculty’s Psychological Counseling and Guidance undergraduate program, Tourism Faculty’s Gastronomy and Culinary Arts undergraduate program and Faculty of Health Sciences, School of Health Services’ Operating Theatre Services and Radiotherapy associate program, all of which will start offering education during the 2014-2015 Academic Year. The new programs which will be delivered in Turkish have received the approval of the Republic of Turkey’s Higher Education Council (YÖK) and TRNC Higher Education Planning, Accreditation, and Coordination Board (YÖDAK).
Psychological Counseling and Guidance
Psychological Counseling and Guidance Program which will offer education under the Faculty of Education aims to provide quality workforce in the relevant field to elementary and secondary schools or in human resources departments in the private sector. The prospective program will be providing education to students from the Republic of Turkey and Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. 30% of the program courses will be delivered in English which will enable program graduates to communicate and correspond in English in their relevant field.
Gastronomy and Culinary Arts
The prospective Gastronomy and Culinary Arts undergraduate program which will be offered by Faculty of Tourism aims to bring up professionals in the field of gastronomy and culinary arts, who possess an awareness towards the environment and ethical values. The program will cater for the demand for well-educated chefs who possess the skills to present samples from national and international cuisine.
Operating Theathre Services and Radiotherapy
Operating Theatre Services and Radiotherapy associate programs to be offered by the School of Health Services will be delivered in Turkish. More specificly, Operating Theatre Services program aims to graduate qualified health professionals who possess specific education on the preparation and use of all surgical tools used in operating theatres as well as assisting surgeons during operations.
Radiotherapy associate program’s fundamental aim is to bring up effective, active and qualified health professionals who would work in the field of radiotherapy under the supervision of doctors in the field on cancer treatment.
And what i didn't understand in this whole stuff is why these programmers are not done in English, why is it only limited to Turkish student
