Prof. Dr. Giuseppe Amoruso Delivered a Workshop in EMU
Within the framework of the 2nd Italian Week taking place in EMU, Prof. Dr. Giuseppe Amoruso delivered a workshop organised by EMU Architecture Department in collaboration with INTBAU.
Giuseppe Amoruso is currently a professor at the University of Bologna School of Architecture, undertaking research and teaching urban design and restoration. He has also been coordinating international summer school programs at Bologna University since 2005. He is also an academic staff member at Politecnico di Milano. Guiseppe Amoruso is the Italian chair of INTBAU (International Network of Traditional Buiding, Architecture and Urbanism), an organisation with international reputation which has offices in more than 20 countries throughout the world.
Within the framework of the workshop which took place under the main theme of “Color and Identity Issues in Vernacular Sites”, historical buildings and squares within Famagusta’s walled city were analysed.
Following the activity which was also participated by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Hıfsiye Pulhan and Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Amca, Prof. Dr. Amoruso was presented a plaque of appreciation by EMU Architecture Department chair Prof. Dr. Özgür Dinçyürek and Architecture Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Şebnem Önal Hoşkara.
