Students of EMU Celebrated Christmas in Grand Style


International students who study at various departments of Eastern Mediterranean University distributed chocolates throughout the university to celebrate Christmas and mark the birth of Jesus Christ on 25 December 2014.

Organised by EMU International Office, a group of international students dressed up as Santa Claus and visited Rector’s Office, Accounting Office, Registrar’s Office as well as various faculties and units. The aforesaid students also walked around the campus and distributed chocolates to students.

On the other hand, Christian students studying in EMU observed Christmas through the “Christmas Party” organised by the International Office at Rauf  Raif  Denktaş  Culture and Congress Center on 26 December 2014.

Commencing with a cocktail at 8:00 p.m., the event hosted the opening addresses of Vice Rector for Promotion Prof. Dr. Hasan Amca and church leader Jerry Mattix. Students had a wonderful night with the fascinating dance shows of  Russian and Kazakh students as well as poems and songs sang in different languages.
