Bayrak Radio and Television [BRT] TRNC goes HD

BRT began broadcasting in HD on Friday the 13th 2015. The state-run broadcasting organisation’s director Mete Tumerkan said that now work on the HD studio had been completed, there would be regular broadcasts in HD.

He added that the new name would be BRT HD as of Friday.

BRT is the state television of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and is also the oldest Turkish Cypriot TV channel, established as a radio station in 1963. It launched its first television broadcast in 1976.
