Neil Patrick Harris hosted the 87th Academy Awards on Sunday, and the event proved to be a night of politically charged speeches and heartfelt moments of humanity.
From Patricia Arquette's moving speech about equality once and for all to Graham Moore's message to "stay weird, stay different", the Oscars in 2015 showed more humanity than most were expecting.
Lady Gaga paid tribute to the sound of music, Common and John Legend gave an incredible performance of the award winning song "Glory" and John Travolta made everyone uncomfortable yet again. [watch video below]
