Record production of strawberries in TRNC this year.

The 10th Traditional Strawberry Festival will be held between 30 April and 3 May by the Yesilirmak-Yedidalga Producers Union.

Union boss Cavit Atalar who spoke to Kibris Postasi reporters Deniz Abidin, said that strawberry growth had increased this year and this year had been a very prosperous year with over 1,500 tonnes of strawberries recorded. He noted that there were 7 different types of strawberries in the market this year which were all controlled and hormone free.

He pointed out that the strawberry festival this year which would run over 4 days will have something for everyone. Visits to the strawberry fields would be organised as well and he called on the public to come on down and take part.
