Students of Tourism-EMU Donated Wheelchairs to Cyprus Turkish Orthopaedically Disabled Association


Having taken place within the operations of Eastern Mediterranean University Community Involvement Center, a civic involvement project organised by the students of School Tourism and Hospitality Management has successfully fulfilled its aim.

Under the supervision of EMU Community Involvement Center Executive Board member Dr. Nazenin Ruso, students of School of Tourism and Hospitality Management Cansın Gazioğlu, Peter Sunday, Tural Gambarov and Isabella Opara successfully managed to purchase three wheel chairs with the funds raised after the organisation of an entertainment activity as well as the collection of bottle caps around the campus.  The wheelchairs were delivered to the Cyprus Turkish Orthopaedically Disabled Association.

Dr. Nazenin Ruso stated that supported by the Community Services Club and Community Volunteers, the event has brought a hope for the future.  Dr. Ruso also added that the students involved in the project lived the happiness of supporting people in need.
