Eastern Mediterranean University Organised an Important Workshop in the Field of Physics
Organised by Eastern Mediterranean University, Arts and Sciences Faculty, Physics Department, “14th Workshop on Quantization, Dualities and Integrable Systems” took place at Salamis Bay Conti Resort Hotel. 35 prominent scientists, and PhD students participated in this year’s workshop which hosted 18 presentations consisting of hot topics from the area of Mathematical Physics.
Wormholes in Einstein’s General Relativity Theory, theoretical work on CERN Experiments (proton - proton), Dark Matter, Dark Energy, Black Holes, Cosmology and Surface Geometrics were among popular topics discussed during the event.
One of the keynote speakers of the workshop Prof. Dr. Jemal Guven from Mexico National University presented a geometric analysis of the membrane structures in biological systems. Another keynote speaker, Prof. Dr. Umut Gürsoy from Utrecht University, Netherlands, discussed the mathematical simulation of nuclear – gluon – plasma models.
At the end of the workshop, participants expressed that the event was extremely productive especially for young PhD students since it provided them with the opportunity to come together with scientists who possess immense experience in their chosen fields.
