EMU Tourism Club Visits İzmir to explore cultural heritage and qualities
Eastern Mediterranean University Tourism Club organised a tour to İzmir under the coordination of EMU Tourism and Hospitality School academic staff member and Tourism Club Advisor Hüseyin Bilsen and Community Involvement Center Executive Board Member Dr. Nazenin Ruso.
A group of 30 students from Pakistan, Iran, Libya, Syria, Kazakhstan, Tunusia, Palestine, Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan took part in the four day trip which had the aim of exploring Izmir’s cultural heritage and qualities.
During the visit, students visited Kadifekale, Selçuk Castle, Selçuk Efes Museum, Şirince, Kuşadası, Kordon Pier, Sasalı Zoo, Agora Museum, Kemeraltı Market and İzmir Kordon Boyu.
Following this year’s Ankara, İstanbul and İzmir tours, EMU Tourism Club chair Bilal Khan stated that their next cultural visit which will take place on 28 October will cover Hatay-Antakya region in Turkey.
