EMU EVENT: “Sustainability in the Construction Sector” Workshop at Merit Hotel, Nicosia TRNC
Organised by Eastern Mediterranean University in collaboration with the Cyprus Turkish Building Contractors Association and Cyprus Turkish Building Sub-Contractors Association, a workshop entitled “Sustainability in the Construction Sector” will be taking place at Merit Hotel, Nicosia, at 10:00 a.m. on 26 June 2015. The one-day workshop will focus on the specifications of the factors essential to the sustainability of the construction activities.
The official opening of the workshop will host the addresses of the Minister of Public Works and Transportation Hasan Taçoy, Minister of Employment and Social Security Aziz Gürpınar and Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Prof. Dr. Ahmet Sözen..
Taking place under the moderatorship of the Cyprus Turkish Building Contractors Association chair Cafer Gürcafer, Cyprus Turkish Sub-Contractors Association chair Osman Amca and Director of EMU School of Computing and Technology Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa İlkan, the workshop will also host an organisation committee formed by members from each stakeholding organisation. Presentation of a report to relevant stakeholders regarding the desirable revisions at the construction sector will take place at the end of the workshop. The workshop will host concurrent sessions.
Stakeholders taking part in the workshop are Eastern Mediterranean University, Cyprus Turkish Building Contractors Association, Cyprus Turkish Sub-Contractors Association, TRNC Ministry of Employment and Social Security, Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Industry and Cyprus Turkish Chambers of Engineers and Architects.
