Police report: Speeding and reckless driving main cause of accidents in TRNC

The latest police reports say that more drivers have been fined for speeding and using mobile phones while driving.

During routine police checks between 13-19 July, police booked 238 drivers; 50 for speeding and 31 for using mobile phones whilst driving.

Police also reported 70 traffic accidents which involved 11 injured during the same period.

The main causes for the accidents were failing to stop at junctions, speeding and reckless driving amongst others.
