BENEFITS OF BEING IN A RELATIONSHIP:

1. You will always have company
When it comes to pros and cons of being in a relationship, we can see clearly that you will always have company if you have a beloved one. He or she will be a good one who you can share your happiness and sadness with you. Also, your company will be a good one who is ready to listen to you. When you are in the hard times, your partner will always stand by you and that makes your love stronger. Accordingly, this is a big step to build up your long relationship.

2. Your partner will always be there
As you are in a relationship, you are happier than a single one because there is always a safe place for you to come back to. Imagine that you just have had a busy day at school, and when you finish your work, your lover will come and ask “How about your school today?” Or if you feel tired, he or she will give you a cup of tea, plus a hug. How happy you are those times!

In contrast, if you are single, you will have to learn to get rid of loneliness. You have to encourage yourself to be stronger in hard time. You may have to find a friend to talk. And of course, friends sometimes can’t understand you as a soul mate does.

3. Staying in a Relationship is good for Self-Esteem
Some people isolate themselves from a relationship and when they get connected with true ones, they may change their perspectives, build their self-esteem and even change their lives. Hence, the power of relationships cannot be over-emphasized. For those who are in a relationship, remember what you learnt from your partner and how he or she changed your quality of life and had influence on your life.

4. Intimacy
Intimacy does not translate to sexual relationship here. Intimacy is more linked to having a tight bond, which goes to the heart and goes beyond physical. For instance, sleeping with someone or holding someone’s hands really helps one get through the tough times. Touch is always something powerful and it’s a healer of wound.

5. Quality of Life is increased
Scientific evidence suggests that people staying in love or having committed relationship often achieve healthier responses to depression, stress, anxiety and regulated blood pressure levels.

So, let your partner know this great truth and keep your relationship with more happiness and health benefits.

6. Less Stress
Some scientific studies indicate that those who stay in relationships are often less stressed out than otherwise. There is the number of reasons for this. First, you are surrounded by your love even after boredom and regularity in your relationship. Your partner will always sweeten the air of love. Second, you will keep fewer secrets, especially things which you cannot discuss with your family and friends. Third, you will have jokes for lightening up moments of stress.

DISADVANTAGES OF BEING IN A RELATIONSHIP

1. The thrill of the chase is gone
The hope and anticipation that pervaded your early interactions with an attractive woman or a handsome guy may be incredibly exciting. Additionally, that will naturally disappear when you both become a committed couple. Your relationship may become predictable at that time and you will start taking your lover’s attraction for granted as attaining it is no longer a challenge.

2. You lose your autonomy
Also, when you are in a relationship, you may lose your autonomy. You will soon realize that sharing your life with your partner means you must take his or her desires and needs into account and consideration as you start making a choice and decisions. It is also clear that this sometimes feels oppressive, if not somewhat depressing.

3. You Have Less Time For Other Social Relationships
Yes! that’s very real to life  as your partner is the most important one who you have to pay more attention to than others. As a result, you have less time for other relationships. For instance, some of your friends will not be close to you anymore, or you will not have enough time for your family and other social relationships and interactions.

4. Boredom
Last but not least among disadvantages of being in a relationship, you may figure out a situation that one day you just want to be single. For instance, you may start your morning with a message “Morning! Have a good one, baby!” and finish a day with a message “Good night, my honey”! Possibly, one day you will get bored with this routine. The solution for you is to find something new and burn the flame of love with romantic and practical activities regularly.

In conclusion, even the anatomy of the human body suggests that 2 is better than 1. The bottom line is to not avoid the hard truths of being in a relationship. Instead of that, find some solutions to improve your life or relationships.
