EMU Launches Two New Postgraduate Programs


Eastern Mediterranean University added two new programs to the existing postgraduate programs. The fourth postgraduate program of the Architecture Faculty, Architecture Department entitled “Urban Design Postgraduate Program” (without Thesis) and Education Faculty, Educational Sciences Department’s “Educational Administration and Supervision Postgraduate Program” (with thesis) will be admitting their first students during the 2014 – 2015 Academic Year Fall Semester.

Urban Design Master's Program (without Thesis)
The program, which will be jointly run with Urban Design (with thesis) program during the first semester with common courses, will have a multidisciplinary structure with other fields of science such as architecture, planning and social sciences. Students wishing to enrol in the program are expected to have an undergraduate degree in architecture or structural science or landscaping architecture or urban planning or urban design. Students who will be admitted to the program will complete the program in 12 months.

Educational Administration and Supervision Master's Program (with Thesis)
Targeted towards individuals who are interested in becoming specialists in educational management and leadership, Educational Administration and Supervision Postgraduate Program has the fundamental aim of bringing up qualified administrators who are equipped with professional management and leadership skills. Individuals who will be receiving education in line with this mission will have numerous employment opportunities at state or private schools or institutions of higher education.

Graduates of the program may become educational leaders or pursue their studies at the doctoral degree level, which will serve as an advantage in their transition to the administrative positions.

EMU is applications to YÖK and YÖDAK approved 76 different programs at postgraduate level (17 doctoral degree, 34 postgraduate with thesis and 25 postgraduate without thesis)  until 30 September 2014.
