NEU RA 25 Sports Hall is ready to host the Championship Cup Finals of Turkey


NEU-RA 25 Sports Hall is ready to host Women’s Basketball Turkish Cup 8 matches, which are expected to be held on the island on 24-28 December 2014. The Turkish Cup matches are organized by the Basketball Federation of Turkey annually.

According to the press info release from the directorate of Press and Public Relations Office of Near Eat University Cyprus, NEU RA 25 Sports Hall was brought to the service of national and international users, with the aim to foster and encourage the the passion of sports through providing facilities at european standards. It was added that NEU RA 25 is ready to host Women’s Basketball Turkish Cup final matches, which are expected to be held on 24-28 December 2014.


NEU is ready to host without any expectancies…

Making a statement, Head of the NEU Health, Culture and Sports Office, Assist. Prof. Dr. Hakan Atamtürk expressed that NEU RA25 Sports Hall was constructed in accordance with the mission of Near East University; providing facilities at international standards, and that the hall was now ready to host the final matches of the Women’s Basketball Turkish Cup 8, which is organized by the Federation of Basketball of Turkey. Assist. Prof. Dr. Atamtürk further added that the matches were expected to be held on 24-28 December and that NEU RA25 Sports Hall is ready to host these matches without any costs.

Atamtürk: “Hosting the Turkish Cup 8 women’s basketball matches, which are being planned to be held on 24-28 December 2014, is a significant opportunity for both our country and for fostering sporting events as a whole. Noteworthy teams such as; Galatasaray Odeobank (Turkish and Euroleague Champion); Fenerbahçe (league and 2nd at European League); Euroleague team of Abdullah Gül University; Adana ASKİ; Botaş; Orman Gençlik; Mersin BŞB and İstanbul University, are all participating in this sports event and therefore, this is a great chance for Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus to be promoted and it will surely have a positive impact on the filed of our national sports.”
