A Cold Weather Snap from the Mediterranean to hit TRNC this week!

Forecasters have warned that a cold blast is on its way, from across the Mediterranean, beginning with showers and storms across much of the TRNC.

They mentioned that as of Wednesday 28 January, 2015., the impending cold snap is expected to begin. The cold snap is not expected to be as brutal as the penultimate one but nevertheless the residents have been advised to take precautions in protective warm clothing and practises.

The mountains and northern areas will receive the brunt of the bad weather, with the prospect of more snow on the highest reaches of Troodos mountains.

In another development, The Ministry of Labour has warned of increased amounts of dust in the atmosphere. The air quality control service is monitoring the situation and taking measurements in order to carry out toxicology readings.
