The campus card which has been used at various venues throughout the university, has a processor operating without any physical contact. The processor contains information on the students’ right to access specific venues (library, labs, parking lots, dormitories, dormitory rooms etc.....) and, at the same time, acts as a debit card at on-campus table d’hote restaurant, cafeterias, canteens and food/beverage automats. Card transactions can also be viewed by families, if found suitable by students.
Arter added that considering the fact that students also spend time outside the campus, the card has been converted to a bank card in collaboration with Cyprus Turkish Cooperative Central Bank.
