Turkish President Erdoğan to go on African tour this January


President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will visit Algeria and Equatorial Guinea and other African countries with a crowded delegation, comprising of ministers and businessmen this January.

The first leg of President Erdoğan's visit to Africa will begin on Wednesday in Algeria. Erdoğan will meet Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika and Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal.

In the private talks and meetings between the delegations of two countries, bilateral relations as well as regional matters will be taken up at length.

Later on, President Erdoğan will proceed to Equatorial Guinea to attend the 2nd Turkey-Africa Partnership Summit.

Many countries will be represented at the Summit, organized in cooperation with the African Union Commission, at the presidential level or the level of prime minister.

Erdoğan is expected to hold bilateral meetings with presidents and prime ministers of participant countries on the sidelines of his visit to Equatorial Guinea.
