Academic Collaboration between Eastern Mediterranean University and University of Bern

As part of the collaboration agreement between Eastern Mediterranean University and University of Bern of Switzerland, History of Arts and Mediterranean Research Center Director Prof. Thomas Dittelbach and 18 students from University of Bern visited Eastern Mediterranean University between 26 and 28 January 2015.

During the visit, information exchange between two universities as well as an academic collaboration took place. Providing information on the student and academic staff profile, campus and infrastructural facilities as well as faculties and departments, Vice Rector for Promotion Prof. Dr. Hasan Amca also stressed the importance the university gives to accreditations.

Expressing their pleasure in visiting EMU, the team from Bern University stated their fascination with EMU. Prof. Dittelbach also expressed their pleasure in settling a collaboration agreement with a big university as such and thanked EMU for their hospitality.

At the end of the visit, Prof. Dr. Amca presented  a lefkara lace handicraft to Prof. Thomas Dittelbach. The visiting team were also take to a tour of Famagusta including Salamis Ruins.
