EasyJet boss to open bi-communal philanthropic cafe in Nicosia
A bi-communal café will be opened by Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou in old Nicosia next Tuesday.
The Stelios Philanthropic Foundation, which was founded by EasyJet boss, Sir Stelios is trying to build a support network for business ventures launched by bi-communal entrepreneurs and hopes to encourage people to apply for the Stelios Bi-Communal wards in Cyprus.
The café will be open every Tuesday from 10th March between 5 and 6pm until the Awards ceremony in October.
Winners and past Stelios Award participants will be able to discuss their experiences and can resubmit applications for this year’s competition. Anyone wishing to get involved can meet at the Foundation’s building on the corner of Palias Ilektrikis and Eptanisou 57.
Those who are attending for the first time will be able to meet potential business partners from the other community.
The Stelios Bi-communal Awards have been running for seven consecutive years. Awards to the value of 1.2 million Euros have been given to 40 bi-communal business partnerships since 2009.
