International Women’s Day celebrated in North Cyprus

Yesterday 8th March was International Women’s Day and North Cyprus held a series of events to mark the day.

In parliament female MPs brought up the subject of problems that women face in their daily lives at an extraordinary session on Thursday.

To mark the day, the women’s branches of various political parties visited retirement homes, rehab centers, hospitals and special needs education centers.

A series of events such as panels, conferences on women and family issues have been launched. Alongside which, marches was organised for the day.
