There were reports of scanty showers on some places life Famagusta early morning Friday July 31. The euphoria, from all indications didn't last long.
Well hang in there because according to the Met office, it will be even hotter as of Sunday as Cyprus gears up for another scorcher/blast. Whilst temperatures will be around 36-37°C inland Friday, it is expected to be as much as 3°C higher from Sunday onwards, reaching as high as 104'F/40'C
Humidity levels are also anticipated to be higher but, like the temperatures, are expected to remain within normal levels for this time of year, the official said.
Everyone is expected to be safe out there and cool down as often as possible with water, shades or rest.
