18th annual United States University Fair begins This week in TRNC

EducationUSA Cyprus, under the auspices of StudyUSA Higher Education Consultants Ltd. and the support of the U.S. Embassy Cyprus, is hosting the 18th annual U.S. University Fair on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the J.W. Fulbright Center, next to the Ledra Palace Hotel, Nicosia. Twenty U.S. universities and colleges will be represented.

Entrance is free.

The fair provides an excellent opportunity for students considering the U.S. for higher education to meet with admissions officers and local alumni representatives.  Students can learn first-hand about the institutions represented.  Scholarship opportunities are available at many of the U.S. universities participating this year.

 The United States remains the #1 destination for international students for higher education.  According to Open Doors Data*, nearly 900,000 international students were studying at American colleges and universities in the 2013-2014 academic year, and 19.3 percent of these students were primarily funded through by their universities.

StudyUSA Higher Education Consultants Ltd., which is supported by the U.S. Embassy in Cyprus, offers advising services to students interested in studying in the U.S. Through their advising program in 2014-2015, they assisted their students to secure $2.76 million in financial assistance from U.S. colleges and universities.
