VOTE 'Scanty Gela BLOG' for Blog of the Year [2015 ASGA AWARDS]. Thank you!

So Scanty Gela BLOG has been nominated for this Year's ASGA AWARDS in the category of 'Blog of the Year'. Thank you guys for this honour. ASGA is an African socio-political body that awards students engaged in various humanitarian or productive endeavours in Cyprus. ASGA is organized annually by the African Students Association [ASA] in TRNC. [read more about ASGA]

I've always believed that anything good worth doing, is worth doing well. This has informed most of my decision taking activities/projects. Needless to say, Objectivity triumphs subjectivity in matters related to news and information dissemination, esp. in higher institutions and coupled with the fact that one RARELY gets good productive news this region motivated me to start blogging. 

Before i started blogging, most blogs i came across were more interested in advertising their friends, self-aggrandizement and publishing irrelevant, totally redundant and trivial news stories. I believe in change, which is to make or become different; to take or use another instead of, Thus Scanty Gela BLOG was born and the rest, as the saying goes is, history.

It hasn't been one smooth of a ride i must add :D. Oh well, There's been happy times, anxious times, desperate times, lovely times, ecstatic times and jubilant times. All in all, it's been quite an experience so far and i cannot wait to unwrap what's in store for Summer 2015 and beyond. Blogging is, and has always been a form of therapy and release for me. It keeps me sane, organized and my 'feet grounded and not in the air'.

So it is an honour to have been nominated for this years ASGA AWARDS. For the sake of new comers or if you're still curious to know more;  Scanty Gela BLOG is a student-oriented project in N Cyprus, spearheaded by Scanty Gela [Angela Chioma Ozue | Engineering Faculty EMU] to organize the news creatively for more impact. It was started in September 2014 and has been blogging daily ever since. 

There are those of us who like to venture to the UNEXPLORED. To see the beauty in the strange and unknown. Those of us who go out there with a sense of wonder. Bridging Worlds, Cultivating Curiosity and finding delight in our differences. If You Are One Of Us, And you want to explore more of this wonderful opportunity, welcome to our world.
