This awareness video on Human Papillomavirus [HPV] is produced to inform the world on the deadly nature of this virus and possible ways it can be prevented because for now there is no cure.

HPV is a DNA virus from the papillomavirus family that is capable of infecting humans. Like all papillomaviruses, HPVs establish productive infections only in keratinocytes of the skin or mucous
membranes and are capable of causing diseases such as persistent infection with high-risk oncogenic HPV of all cervical cancers, most anal cancers, and a subset of vulvar, vaginal, penile and oropharyngeal cancers. In recent time skin related beta-HPV types have been associated with the pathogenesis of non-melanoma skin cancers.
