BREAKING: A New University is opening up in Güzelyurt, TRNC

TRNC Minister of National Education Kemal Dürüst announced that the Nişantaşı University from Turkey will be opening up a campus in Güzelyurt.

Speaking during an event he attended, Dürüst said that the new university campus will be serving and offering education to around 500 students.

The Minister of National Education also expressed the view that the opening of the Nişantaşı University’s North Cyprus campus will contribute to the development of businesses and services in the area.

He also announced that initiatives will be launched for development loans to be given to local businesses and investors so as to build new investments such as dormitories and housing for students.

Also touching upon the Cyprus negotiations during his speech, the Minister of National Education said that it was out of the question to return Güzelyurt to Greek Cypriots in the event of a settlement after all this investment and struggle waged for the area.

“Be prepared for development and growth in Güzelyurt” he said.
