BRACE UP CYPRUS - New Heat Wave expected to Hit the Island this weekend


The meteorological service has warned that temperatures will be rising to as much as 42 degrees Celsius for the next couple of days. Skies as expected will be clear between the period of 14th and 20th of July.

While temperatures inland are expected to exceed 40 degrees Celsius coastal areas will be slightly cooler with temperatures lingering between 33-36 degrees Celsius.

Winds will generally be Southerly and Westerly moderate strong on Monday.

The met office has advised people and sensitive groups to avoid unnecessary exposure to the sun, particularly between 10am and 4pm as well as to drink plenty of water during the day.
