Cyprus International University [CIU] Faculty of Fine Arts Awards Top International Students.

A competition was held for Cyprus International University students from the Faculty of Fine Arts affiliated Departments of Graphic Design, Architecture, Interior Design, and Industrial Product Design. Works by students such as New Year cards, abstract human figures, abstract trees and posters were designed for the contest under the theme of “New Year” and awards were presented to top ranking students.

Numerous designs were created during the contest held among students from the Departments of Graphic Design, Architecture, Interior Design, and Industrial Product Design. After voting by faculty lecturers, the top five ranking designs were awarded trophies and certificates during the awards ceremony held at the Faculty building.

The award winners were: Berna Erbaş, Ayşegül Irmak, Muntasır Ahmed Sulaiman al Talai, Selin Sünbül, Pelin Sünbül, Gözde Hüyük, Serdar Kora, Mustafa Gökberk Kozan, Marshall Moyo, Mahmoud Ahmed, and David K. Njoroge.

Vice Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts Prof. Nezih Ayıran underlined that the very first activity by the Faculty in 2015 had provided motivation for the Faculty students. Prof. Ayıran said, “the activity that aimed at giving us a fresh start with the new year has been a source of positive sensations for the students and faculty staff members, filling the faculty hallway with much fun, and motivating our students. We are confident that our students will achive impressive results in significant contests during the semester to come”.
