EMU Architecture Department spearheads another Civic Involvement Project


Eastern Mediterranean University, Architecture Faculty, Architecture Department organised a social responsibility project involving children’s parks in collaboration with Famagusta Municipality and Famagusta Development Academy.


In this respect, around 300 students from EMU Architecture Department planted trees, cleaned and painted children’s parks located in various locations of Famagusta among which were Karakol Park, Community Houses Park and Baykal Park. Upon the completion of the project, Mayor of Famagusta İsmail Arter extended his appreciation for the students’ contributions in converting Famagusta to a more liveable city.


Chair of EMU Architecture Department Prof. Dr. Özgür Dinçyürek visited the said parks and stated that they are pleased with the high student interest and involvement in activities as such.
