“Every Child Deserves Love” | EMU Education Faculty Psychological Counseling and Guidance Department 4th yr. students

A new social responsibility project taking place within the operations of Eastern Mediterranean University Community Involvement Center was implemented within the framework of Community Services Course delivered by academic staff member Barış Başel. The project entitled “Every Child Deserves Love” was carried out by EMU Education Faculty Psychological Counseling and Guidance Department 4th year students Gizem Dağda, Hasan Ceylanlı, Hatice Göksu, Aylin Erişir, Fatoş Özayman and Kübra Şahan.

The aforesaid students took the children and caretakers of Nicosia Çağlayan Orphanage to a meal at Civil Defence Organisation Headquarters. At the beginning of the activity, Social Services Specialist and EMU Community Involvement Center Executive Board member Barış Başel and Nicosia Çağlayan Orphanage representative Melek Alp thanked the officials of the Civil Defence Organisation for their support.

Following the meal,  students of EMU who  organised the event played games and danced with the children. The event also featured an illusion show.

At the end of the activity, Civil Defence Organisation Deputy Chair Hakan Büyükçulha thanked EMU community for their sensitivity and support in organising such a beautiful and meaningful event.
